VALENICA, Calif., June 4, 2026 / Two North Carolina-based Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), High Country Community Health (Boone, NC) and First Choice Community Health (Lillington, NC), went live on Epic June 1–12 through Community Technology Cooperative’s (CTC) hosted Epic instance, expanding leading enterprise EHR technology access to community-based providers.
FQHCs are community-based healthcare organizations that provide comprehensive primary care services in underserved areas, often operating with limited financial and IT resources. As a result, many have historically been unable to adopt enterprise EHR platforms like Epic. With CTC, Epic access is now possible. The go lives at High Country Community Health and First Choice Community Health reflect CTC’s growing mission to help FQHCs overcome those barriers by sharing a single, fully managed Epic instance, significantly reducing cost and operational complexity.
To assist with these health centers’ Epic transitions, CTC partners with Med Tech Solutions (MTS). MTS is supporting both health centers with:
Through this partnership, clinicians and staff gain real-time, specialized Epic support from Med Tech Solutions, while CTC manages the broader technology ecosystem—allowing health centers to stay focused on delivering care.
As more FQHCs adopt shared Epic models, this approach is helping to expand access to advanced healthcare technology, improve adoption, and support more equitable care delivery in underserved communities.
